FANTASY OUTLOOK

Top 5 Rostered in ESPN Fantasy

#1

Calvin Ridley (WR)
99.8%

Ridley enters his 3rd NFL season as a Top 5 overall wide receiver in fantasy football. He was already approaching this tier last season with superstar Julio Jones still on the team. With Jones gone, Ridley is one the most coveted receivers to land in fantasy drafts. If you are lucky to get him, place Ridley in your WR1 slot and leave him there.

#2

Kyle Pitts (TE)
98.2%

It’s rare to see a rookie TE with so much preseason hype like we have seen with Kyle Pitts. He comes to Atlanta this year with a huge opportunity to be something special. All the targets that used to go to Julio Jones will now go to Pitts and possibly more. Except Pitts to deliver in fantasy in 2021 as a sure thing starter.

#3

Younghoe Koo (K)
94.4%

The kicker position is often considered a crapshoot in fantasy football but there are actually ways you can be strategic about it. Obviously, accuracy matters a great deal, which Koo is one of the best at. Second, it’s important to look for a kicker that is on a team that moves the ball down the field a lot, which the Falcons are typically good at. For these reasons, Koo is one of the top fantasy kickers to look at in 2021.

#4

Mike Davis (RB)
92.2%

After spending years around the league as a journeyman, Mike Davis entered the fantasy spotlight in 2020 with the Carolina Panthers after Christian McCaffrey fell to injury. He provided consistent fantasy value as a solid RB2/Flex option. His efficiency numbers dwindled down the stretch, which is concerning but he does not face much competition for carries on this offense. Consider him a flex option at this point.

#5

Matt Ryan (QB)
44.6%

The veteran will enter his 14th NFL season with the Falcons in 2021 with a very different looking offense than in previous seasons. Longtime favorite target Julio Jones is now gone and new faces have arrived with Pitts and Davis. The Falcons offensive scheme is also expected to be more centered around the run. Additionally, Ryan has never been known as a mobile QB and that will not change at age 36. Think of Ryan as a possible backup option on your team but nothing to get hyped about.

Sleeper Candidate

Russell Gage (WR)
31.4%

Gage isn’t a receiver that you should be highly considering at this time but that could change throughout the season. Again, with Julio Jones gone there will be some additional targets up for grabs in 2021 and Gage could get some of those. If either Ridley or Pitts go down with an injury, Gage would suddenly be in the waiver wire mix.
